The Julio’s Corn Chips Story

Julio T. Garcia, a father of ten, built more than a business; he built a legacy of perseverance, love, and family strength. After losing his job as a chef, Julio joined his wife, Lilia, in her home-based salsa-and-chip operation. With the help of their children, Julio fried chips in their garage, launching Julio’s Corn Tortilla Chips. From Del Rio to shelves at H-E-B and Walmart across Texas, their bold Tex-Mex seasoning (garlic, paprika, cumin, and lime) built a loyal following.

Still family-run and rooted in Del Rio, the Garcias give back, sponsoring local events like Border Bull Mania, encouraging salsa-jar reuse, and thanking customers through community giveaways. Julio’s is more than a brand; it’s a testament to family, perseverance, and service. At our foundation, we proudly recognize local businesses like Julio’s Corn Chips that embody the resilience and generosity of rural communities, reminding us that success is sweetest when it’s shared.
